Check current weather, snow conditions, trail status, lift operations, and any relevant resort announcements.
Inspect your board, bindings, boots, and other equipment. Make sure everything fits properly and is suitable for your needs.
Dress for winter conditions, use appropriate layers, and bring suitable gloves, eyewear, and protective equipment.
Know where you're meeting, how you'll communicate with your group, and what to do if plans change.
Choose a speed and line that allow you to respond to people and changing conditions.
Be aware of riders downhill, look uphill before entering a trail, and stop only in visible places where you do not obstruct others.
Respect trail signs, closures, lift procedures, resort staff directions, and posted safety information.
Conditions can change rapidly. Choose terrain appropriate to your ability and do not feel pressured to follow another rider into an unfamiliar situation.
Agree on meeting points and communication arrangements before riding. If someone needs assistance, follow resort procedures and seek appropriate help.

For equipment setup or maintenance questions, seek advice from a qualified professional.
